Los Angeles, CA – Internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter Chris Pierce delivers a follow up to his critically acclaimed 2021 acoustic album “American Silence” with an LP offering “Let All Who Will”. The 15-song album, co/produced by Niko Bolas (Neil Young, The Mavericks) and Dave Resnik (Sonia Dada, Mavis Staples) was recorded in Hollywood, CA at the legendary Sunset Sound. The first single is an upbeat Roots/Americana song “45 Jukebox” co/written by Pierce and Sam Hollander.
The new album is packed with intense storytelling, intuitive spontaneity and powerful performances that capture a vivid snapshot of the kinship at the sessions, all supporting Pierce’s unmistakable soulfully dynamic vocals. Chris Pierce holds a strong belief that songs can cut through the isolated and static feelings of individuals worn down by the uncertainty of everyday life and unite us under one sonic roof to feel something together, be it pain, sorrow, frustration, joy, hope or freedom. “Let All Who Will” features songs that examine essentials of the human condition including resilience, growth, emotion, aspiration, conflict, and mortality.
Pierce collaborated with a wide variety of highly respected co/songwriters including Sam Hollander, Adrianne Gonzalez, Mark Malone, Kaveh Rastegar, and Siddhartha Khosla. “Let All Who Will” features an all-star personnel list of musicians including Doug Pettibone (Lucinda Williams, Ray LaMontagne), Michael Jerome (Richard Thompson, Blind Boys of Alabama), Kaveh Rastegar (John Legend, Bruce Springsteen), Kelvin Holly (Little Richard, Peggi Young), Deron Johnson (Miles Davis, Seal), Dave Palmer (Joe Henry, Susan Tedeschi), Maiya Sykes (Macy Gray, Postmodern Jukebox), Jessica Childress (Aloe Blacc, Rod Stewart), Charles Jones (Jennifer Hudson, Joy Oladokun), and Ginger Murphy (Kamasi Washington, Kendrick Lamar).
In 2023, Chris Pierce was handpicked to be the special guest opener for the NEIL YOUNG Coastal Tour. He gained additional worldwide prominence with “We Can Always Come Back to This”. His hit song aired on 3 episodes of the #1 NBC primetime series ‘THIS IS US,' then went on to #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart. Pierce has also done worldwide headlining tours and has performed with: Neil Young, B.B. King, Seal, Al Green, Allison Russell, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, White Buffalo, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Jill Scott, Keb’Mo, Blind Boys of Alabama, Aaron Neville & others.
Other recent highlights include: a solo concert at The Kennedy Center, a duet with Sara Bareilles, a sold-out concert with Allison Russell, and performance/interviews on NPR’s WORLD CAFÉ, MOUNTAIN STAGE, AMERICAN FOLK SHOW, SoCAL SOUND, and more. Stellar performances at Newport Folk, Folk Alliance, Rancho La Puerta Folk Fest, Four Corners Folk, MerleFest & NC Folk Festival led to further acclaim.
His 2021 album, 'AMERICAN SILENCE' garnered critical acclaim from NPR, Rolling Stone, NoDepression, SiriusXM, The Bluegrass Situation, AmericanaUK, Acoustic Guitar and others. PopMatters named ‘AMERICAN SILENCE’ THE #1 Best Folk Album of 2021 and FolkAlley named "Residential School" from AMERICAN SILENCE one of the 100 Essential Folk Songs.
His highly anticipated album titled ‘LET ALL WHO WILL’ has a release date of September 1, 2023, with a handful of singles out now. In addition to his solo career, Chris Pierce performs/records with both Americana/Folk/Soul sensation WAR & PIERCE with Sunny War, & the Americana/Roots band LEON CREEK as well as doing occasional appearances with the BLACK OPRY REVUE. www.chrispierce.com
